    The Ultimate Triathlon

The Ultimate Triathlon is a 2000 kilometre swim, bike, run from Morocco to Monaco in just 12 days…   Many people have asked how I came up with such an insane challenge for myself, the answer is rather simple; I looked at a world map and my imagination did the rest! The distance is the […]

    The Double Brutal Extreme Triathlon

My first ever triathlon, a Double Ironman distance race with over 5000 metres of climbing on the bike, and 3000 metres during the run; here is how I prepared for it, what I ate, and what happened! 1) Taking on The Double Brutal Extreme Triathlon 2) Planning, and Fuelling for The Double Brutal Extreme Triathlon 3) What […]

    Mount Aspiring

I finished my 2013 off by attempting to climb Mt Aspiring, New Zealand’s second highest mountain on it’s magical South Island. This picturesque technical climb was to be tackled with a close friend of mine. Unfortunately, we were delayed to get up into the mountain because of bad weather, then after a day of rock climbing on the […]

  • Hainan: Running for Survival

I was heading to Hong Kong to support for some of my Nepalese ultra running friends in a race there, when I thought I would add on a few extra days of my trip and create a mini adventure for myself. Hainan would be my destination, (yeah I didn’t know where it was either until I […]

  • Transition

Only two weeks prior to the race start, it was cancelled, and it seemed as though the beginning of my swim/bike/run career was to be put on hold. For about a whole 2 minutes I thought of […]

  • Mount Everest Ultra Marathon

The Everest Ultra Marathon is a 65 kilometre brutal “downhill” running race held on the worlds highest mountain. I trekked with other runners from Lukla (2900m) for eight days up Mount Everest until we arrived at Gorakshep (5200m), the races start line! Before the Everest Ultra; I spent time living, training, eating, and getting to know two […]

    Luke Learns to Surf

As an Australian, it’s just assumed that I can surf, all Aussies can surf surely!? But what if you grew up in a country town four hours from the nearest beach, with the closest thing you got to “hanging ten” was when your dad jumped in the swimming pool and created waves. Well that’s me, […]

    The Marathon des Sables

The Marathon des Sable (MDS) is a 6 stage 250km footrace across the Sahara desert in Morocco. Competitors carry all their food and needs with them except for a tent and water. I’m currently training for this mammoth test of fitness, will, strength, and mental toughness.

  • Volcano in Guatamala

My first real big Adventure: 8 days in Guatemala climbing active Volcanoes and seeing some of the beauty the country has to offer. I spent most of my time in the second largest city named Quetzaltenango, at the base of The Santa Maria Volcano
