THE DOUBLE BRUTAL EXTREME TRIATHLON

I had never completed a triathlon before, and a year out from my 2000 kilometre in 12-day Ultimate Triathlon, I thought it would be a good idea to get a multisport event under my belt. I decided to take on The Double Brutal Extreme Triathlon.

This double Ironman distance race (8km swim, 375km bike, 85km run) took place in the mountainous area of Snowdonia National Park in north Wales. For 35 hours non-stop I swam, cycled, and ran my way around this looped course, although challenging, it was an extremely fun weekend, and I’m glad I got to share the experience with three very good friends as my crew.
