Luke-athon

I prepared to race my first ever triathlon in August 2013, a 70.3 mile distance race on the English south coast. Only two weeks prior to the race start, it was cancelled, and it seemed as though the beginning of my swim/bike/run career was to be put on hold. For about a whole 2 minutes I thought of all the training I had done, my excitement of becoming a “triathlete” like many of my friends, so I decided to create my own triathlon, calling it the Luke-athon.

A swim/bike/run which I did alone, and using my home as the transition area. I swam in my local pool, rode around (and up) the hills of Surrey south of London, before battling the trails and roads near where I live. I chatted with the guys over at TriGear about how it went..
